As Physiotherapist we assess movement. More specifically we assess the control, or lack of control, of the movement we possess. You will often hear the terms - tight, stiff, weak and loose amongst others. These are predominantly abnormalities that affect our control of movement, or influence our inability to control movement.
Treatment of pain and injuries will generally target identified abnormalities and aim to return, or improve, our movement patterns to an idealisitic state. There is an abundance of techniques and exercises to help this journey.
This blog will aim to provide some regular tips and tricks, neat exercises, updates on advancements in injury management and maybe a few random photos (see below).
